Backend Engineer @ Souk

What You’ll Do

As a Backend Engineer at Souk, you’ll design and scale the systems that power our core product — search, enrichment, outreach, and payments. You’ll own features from architecture to production and collaborate closely with AI engineers to bring personalised, automated GTM systems to life.

You will:

• Build and scale backend systems and APIs that make partner discovery instant and reliable.
• Design event-driven workflows using Node.js, TypeScript, Postgres, Redis, BullMQ.
• Integrate with payment providers like Stripe/Paddle and external data sources like Clearbit, Apollo, and others.
• Own performance, reliability, and observability across critical systems.
• Work with AI engineers to productionise personalisation and recommendation models.
• Ship quickly, validate ideas fast, and iterate based on real customer feedback.

You Have

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience
• Deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript
